LTL Holdings Launches CSR Initiative to Upgrade Electrical Infrastructure at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka
LTL Holdings Limited, in collaboration with its subsidiary LTL Transformers (Pvt) Ltd and the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), has commenced the first phase of a landmark Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to upgrade the electrical infrastructure of the National Hospital of Sri Lanka (NHSL) on 9th September 2025 at the hospital premises.
The project is designed to modernize and replace the hospital’s outdated electrical systems, with the primary objectives of:
- Ensuring uninterrupted power supply for critical operations including surgeries, transplants, and intensive care units,
- Improving reliability of power distribution across the hospital, and
- Mitigating safety risks arising from obsolete equipment while preventing unexpected power disruptions.
As the 1st phase, LTL has donated switchgears and feeder pillars to replace the existing outdated and damaged electrical equipment of the electrical system.
The Project will be carried out in three phases to improve the reliability of the electrical system of the NHSL.
As the largest government hospital in the country, NHSL plays a vital role in the healthcare system. Through this initiative, LTL Holdings reaffirms its commitment to supporting national institutions and strengthening essential services for the benefit of the wider community.
